Due to bullshit rules in India about equivalence of degrees, you may not be eligible for mtech after BSc of 3 years duration except a few institutions. If your bsc is of 4 years then you are eligible.
For M.tech, you should either have a Postgraduation Degree(M.Sc) or Undergraduate Degree in a technical field(B.tech).
Some Colleges want B.Sc. + M.Sc to be eligible for M.Tech. So if you are thinking for M.Tech please carefully read the college admission policies.
Candidates who have successfully completed their bachelor’s degree with 4-years of coursework are eligible for directly applying for an MTech degree.
Some Colleges or Branch are allow to do Mtech after B.Sc
- Though Sagar University, MP offers M.Tech in geology after bsc but it’s not possible for other graduates of Science to pursue M.Tech after their graduation.
- BSc 4 years program in Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
- some mtech courses can be done after bsc like mtech in material science engineering of mysore university.if you look at nano technology and material engineering courses ,these students are allowed to do mtech
