IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria - 2022
IBPS PO Educational Qualification (22:08:22)
Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP exam is as basic as a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech or as such) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.
The candidates must be in possession of a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that certifies that they are a graduate on the day they register for this exam, and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering for the IBPS Bank-PO examination.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants
A candidate applying for IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:

IBPS PO Recruitment 2022
Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited every year through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), commonly known as the IBPS PO exam. The CRP was started in 2011 and is being conducted for the 12th time this year and hence is officially called IBPS PO /MT CRP XII 2022. The IBPS PO selection process consists of 3 phases (preliminary, mains and interview) and the candidate must qualify each of them to proceed to the next phase. •Online Preliminary Examination:
An adequate number of candidates in each category are shortlisted by IBPS depending upon requirements for Online Main Examination
•Online Mains Examination:
Candidates must qualify the sectional as well as an overall cutoff in the main exam to be eligible for an interview.
•Interview:
The interview will be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS
•Final Result:
The Final result is declared on the basis of candidates’ combined performance in IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds.
•Provisional Allotment:
The provisional allotment of the qualified candidate is released on the official website. The IBPS Banks are allotted based on candidates’ preferences which are made at the time of online application.

IBPS PO Syllabus 2022
IBPS PO Exam Syllabus is no different from any other Bank Exams. The IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three different stages as listed below:

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test (Pre and Mains) of the Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, IBPS PO Cut-Off will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview.
Before the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for the interview. A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high to be considered for the final appointment. Thus, the final selection is made on the marks scored by the candidate in the IBPS PO Mains Exam and Interview (Mains+ Interview).
IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2022 For Prelims
The IBPS PO Prelims is the first stage of the IBPS PO 2022. This is the screening round.
- The Prelims Stage of IBPS PO will have three sections of a total duration of 1 Hour.
- There will be a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Candidates will have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2022 for Mains
This is the 2nd Stage of the IBPS Exam. The candidates who will qualify for the Prelims of IBPS PO Exam will be eligible to appear for the IBPS PO Mains Exam 2022.
- There will be four sections for the IBPS PO Mains Exam and an additional section of the English Language which will be taken separately on the same date of the exam.
- The IBPS PO Mains Exam will have a total of 200 MCQ’s of a total duration of 3 Hours.
- There will be separate timing for each section as it was in the IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
- The candidates will have to pass separately in each test/section.
Introduction of Descriptive Test: 25 Marks
IBPS has included the descriptive test of 25 Marks in the PO Mains Exam. The candidates will have to write an essay and a letter of 25 marks. The English Language Paper is to assess the candidates’ writing skills and it is compulsory to pass this paper by securing a minimum cut-off.

IBPS PO Syllabus- Interview
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT-X will subsequently be
called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organization and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers.
- The total marks allotted for the IBPS PO Interview are 100.
- The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates).
- The weightage (ratio) of the IBPS PO Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at based on scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination of CRP- PO/MT-IX and Interview.
- A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for the subsequent provisional allotment process.
IBPS PO 2022 Salary
The initial in-hand salary of an IBPS Probationary Officer is Rs. 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, other benefits. IBPS PO Exam Centre
The IBPS PO exam is conducted online at numerous centres all over India and the candidate can mention their preferences at the time of filling in the online application. However, if there is a non-availability of seats at preferred venues, IBPS may allot an exam centre other than the choices made by a candidate. IBPS is the sole authority on adding or removing an exam centre and candidates can’t make requests for change in the exam centre. Any inappropriate behaviour at the exam centre can lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training
The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations may arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India. This is a kind of orientation session where candidates are told about types of questions, common mistakes, tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks and strategies by experts from training institutes. The objective is to provide a level playing field to students from weaker sections who can’t avail of coaching and make them aware of commons aspects and recruitment process of the exam.
Candidates belonging to the above-mentioned categories can avail the training by indicating the same against relevant column, while applying on-line.The pre-exam training is free of cost with other expenses like travel, food and lodging to be borne by the candidate.
