Post-matric scholarship for minorities is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) for the upliftment of students belonging to minority communities. According to the Government of India, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains are notified as minority communities. Under this post-matric scholarship for minorities, students studying in class 11 to PhD are offered up to INR 10,000 INR 60,000 annually to pursue higher education.

- Applicants must belong to a minority community as notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains.
- The candidates must be studying in class 11 or above. Thus, the students studying in class 11,12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or PhD are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Students applying for this MOMA scholarship should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.
- The annual family income of the candidate’s parents/guardian should not exceed INR 2 lakh. This annual income comprises of total income from all the sources.

While applying for the Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, an applicant needs to upload a certain set of documents on the application portal. The following are the documents that a candidate needs to provide:
